Manistee Manor residents enjoy a lot of weekly and monthly activities.

MANISTEE MANOR RECIPE BOOKS are now available!! The book is 147 pages of great recipes collected from the best cooks of Manistee Manor.  The $10.00 cost of the book will benefit the Manistee Manor Bus Fund.

BINGO
Every Monday at 1:00 p.m. The cost is $6.00 for 10 games. Extra cover-all sheets are $1.00. A half-packet for 10 games is $3.00. The early bird Odd or Even coverall is $1.00 for 2 squares. Cash prizes.

EXERCISE CLASS
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8:30. This is a low-impact exercise and stretching class.

PRAYER CIRCLE
Every Wednesday morning at 9:00. The group DOES NOT meet the last Wednesday morning of the month.

BUNCO BUDDIES
The group meets once a month. The group will play on Wednesday, May 9th, at 1:00 p.m. Bring .75 cents if you wish to play Left-Right-Center following bunco.

GREGORY'S FRESH VEGETABLE AND FRUIT MARKET
Join us on Thursday, May 10th, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the multi-purpose room. You will be able to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price. Cash only.

RENT ASSISTANCE WORKSHOP
On Thursday, May 17th, at 10:00 a.m., the City of Glendale Community Action Program (CAP) will present a workshop on rent assistance. You must live in the Glendale city limits. Plan to attend this very informative workshop.

MOVIE OF THE MONTH
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, May 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. for the movie, "Forrest Gump" starring Tom Hanks.  This movie will have you laughing and crying at times. Refreshments will be served.

WESTERN BBQ HOE-DOWN
Get your boots on and join us for some good ole' thigh-slappin....heel-kickin'....boot-stompin'.....good time! On Thursday, May 24th, at 12:00 Noon, we will enjoy your choice of a hamburger or two hot dogs, cooked on the BBQ by chuck wagon chef, Ken. To accompany the hamburgs and dogs, we will serve baked beans, chips and apple pie and ice cream. Cowboy Kenny Cole will entertain us with campfire and western songs and everyone is encouraged to sing and get up and two-step!! The cost is $5.00 per person, payable in the office. Be sure to wear your western attire and we will see you there, pard'ner! R.S.V.P. Required. Please call 623-915-5039 to reserve your seat.

WORSHIP SERVICE
The monthly worship service with communion will be held on Wednesday, May 30th, at 1:00 p.m. The service is led by Pastor Danny Thompson.

SENIOR SAFETY
On Thursday, May 31st, at 10:00 a.m., the Glendale Police Department will give a presentation on Senior Safety. The presentation will also cover motorized scooter safety and help you familiarize yourself with local laws and regulations pertaining to motorized scooters.
